Ye Must Be Born Again

John 3:1-3, “There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Dear reader, there is no greater or more important thing you will ever hear than, “Ye Must Be Born Again.” Here is a helpful quote by Evangelist John R. Rice (1895-1980):

Multitudes of people who expect to go to Heaven will go to a Hell of torment. Thousands of “good” people, “moral” people, church members, even church workers - yes, and, alas, even prophets, priests and preachers - will find themselves lost when they expected to be saved, condemned when they expected approval, cast out of Heaven when they expected to be received into eternal bliss. That is the explicit meaning of the words of our Lord... (see: Matthew 7:21-23)

The Bible says in Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Please don't take this Scripture passage lightly.

This dedicated group of religious did “many wonderful works.” Carefully notice that these many wonderful works were all done in Jesus' name. They were following Jesus as their Lord, evidenced by them calling Him: “Lord, Lord.” We hear Neo-evangelical preachers today errantly teaching people, that to get to Heaven they must follow Jesus as the “Lord” of their life, turning away from sins and giving control of one's life over to God. None of that is biblical to be saved.

The Bible teaches that to be saved you must admit you are a sinner (Romans 3:19-23). You must believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, the Christ (John 20:31). You must believe that Christ died on a cross to pay your debt of sin, and that He was buried and after three days resurrected bodily from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-6). Dear friend, if you by faith receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, believing that He was buried and then raised up physically three days later, you are saved! All you need to do to get to Heaven is to simply BELIEVE that Jesus did it all for you!

In sharp contrast, Joel Osteen's plan of salvation doesn't match Christ's plan of salvation. According to Osteen in the preceding video link that I have provided, he falsely says that you must “repent of your sins.” You cannot find that phrase anywhere in the inspired King James Bible! Christ died on a cross to pay for your sins, He doesn't demand that you forsake a lifestyle of sinning to receive God's free gift of eternal life. I mean, if Christ died on the cross to wash all our sins away, then what is there to repent of? What sins can we repent of, since Jesus has taken the punishment for all those upon Himself on the cross?

Sadly, Pastor Osteen also demands that you “make Jesus your Lord and Savior.” Dear reader, that is another gospel. Nowhere in the Gospel of John (which is God's Gospel tract according to John 20:31). To understand what is so dangerous and unbiblical about being required to “make Jesus your Lord and Savior,” you need to know what they mean by that statement. These ungodly Neo-evangelicals mean that your life must change. They mean that you cannot continue living in willful open sin. They mean that from now on and for the rest of your life, you will live a changed life, following Jesus daily as your Lord in obedience. None of this is the Gospel.

Joel Osteen also errantly tells you to pray and ask Jesus to “come into your heart.” Again, you won't find that nonsense in the Gospel of John. How does a man invite Christ into his heart—a muscle twice the size of your fist that pumps blood? It makes no sense what Joel is saying. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born again.

Why do ungodly pastors like Joel Osteen embellish and obscure God's simple plan of salvation? They do it because they are afraid to go against what other false prophets are teaching. Check and you will find, that every pseudo-Christian prophet today teaches the same exact theological garbage as Joel Osteen does! I dare you to research what I just said. If you'd like some help, please read this great book by Michael P. Bowen titled: “I NEVER KNEW YOU.”

Also, you DO NOT need to pray a prayer to be saved, you can simply BELIEVE the 'Good News' (Gospel) of Jesus' crucifixtion, burial and resurrection.

Jesus said in Luke 13:22-24, “And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” I quoted Matthew 7:21-23 to you earlier, which were Christ's very words. Jesus called them 'WORKERS OF INIQUITY,' even though they called Him: “Lord, Lord.” Why weren't they saved? What did they do wrong? What did they miss? Jesus plainly tells us in Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Jesus plainly tells us the “will of the Father” in John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Did you read that? The will of the Father is just to BELIEVE ON JESUS, nothing more or less! Dear reader, the following words were written by Christian author Michael Patrick Bowen. Please pay close attention as Brother Bowen exposes Pastor Osteen's counterfeit plan of salvation:

Salvation, according to Joel Osteen, consists of having a “relationship” with Jesus Christ. In order to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, Osteen says we must 1) repent of sins, 2) ask Jesus into our hearts, 3) ask Him to wash us clean, and 4) “make Him” our Lord and savior. 

Now, according to the bible, this is not how to go to heaven. What this is, however, is a blueprint for discipleship. More accurately, what we really need is a “savior.” When you become born again through faith alone in Christ, you are automatically in a “relationship” with Jesus Christ the very instant you trust in what He did for you by His death, burial and resurrection from the dead. To say that we need a relationship with Christ is not an accurate statement. We need salvation in order to escape the wrath of God, not a “relationship.” Osteen preaches our need for a discipleship-based relationship with Christ. Salvation is vastly different from discipleship in that discipleship requires hard work whereas salvation requires only your trust in the promise of everlasting life that Christ extends to all of us by His grace. Quite literally, Jesus saves you the instant you trust in what He did for you. Salvation is not what you do for God. Salvation is what God did for you and nothing of yourself (works) enters into the contract (Ephesians 2:8-9). 

Imagine you are about to buy a home. As you are about to sign the contract, you cross out the price and you insert a lower price. Will the seller of the home honor that contract? No, of course not. You have violated the terms of the contract. In the same way, a pastor who crosses out the terms of God’s contract and adds different terms to His contract, that contract is void. It will not stand. 

What is free and available to all by grace through faith is hijacked by the addition of human efforts. 

In no way can a person’s good works and deeds be added to the contract. God will not honor such a contract, and if you die under the terms of your own works-based contract, which essentially makes you the “savior” and not Christ, you will stand before Him at the Great White Throne Judgement. Dear friend, for Joel Osteen to require lost sinners to “repent of my sins,” is effectively the same as telling people to forsake their sinful bad habits to get to Heaven, which is 100% WORKS! Jonah 3:10, “And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.” The Ninevites (the capital city of Assyria) did not get saved, they repented of their evil ways, so God also repented (changed His mind) and didn't destroy them.

Albeit, God sent the prophet Nahum to preach to the Assyrians, but they didn't listen so the Lord utterly destroyed them for their wickedness. Shortly before the fall of Nineveh in 612 B.C., Nahum uttered his prophecy against the hated city. To understand the prophet's exuberant outbursts of joy over their impending destruction, it is necessary to remember the savage cruelty of the Assyrians, which had made it the scourge of the ancient Near East for almost three centuries. The Assyrian soldiers were greatly feared, known as a hairy people who nailed their victims to a tree and then filleted them alive. The Northern Kingdom of Israel fell prey to Assyria in 722 B.C., because of their idolatry and continued rebellion against God.

Anybody who says that you must “repent of your sins” to get to Heaven is a LIAR! They are preaching another gospel of damnable heresy. You can verify this truth for yourself by searching through the Gospel of John, which is God's Gospel tract according to John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” The primary purpose for which this book of the inspired Holy Bible was written, is to convince you dear reader that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, and that you will hopefully place your childlike trust in Him alone to be saved. If Jesus is your only hope for Heaven, because of what He did through Calvary's cross to pay for your sins, then you are saved. It is as simple as that!

Jesus was directly asked what “WORKS” we must do to merit Heaven. John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” As we just read, the dear Savior's simple answer is to BELIEVE ON HIM. Jesus didn't tell them to repent of their sinful ways. Nor did Jesus tell them to make Him the “LORD” of their life. Jesus simply told them to BELIEVE ON HIM.

Again, in Acts 16:30-31 the Apostle Paul and his companion, Silas, were directly asked: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved” by the Philippian jailer in Rome. Paul and Silas simply replied: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...” Paul and Silas did not tell the man to “turn away from his sinful ways.” They did not tell him to surrender control of his life over to Jesus (this is the unbiblical heresy that Joyce Meyer preaches).

Dear friend (and I am being your true friend by telling you THE TRUTH), you cannot believe over 95% of preachers today concerning how to be saved. Preachers are human beings. Behind every pulpit is a flawed human being. As humans we tend to need heroes. We look up to others. I don't care who you are, you look up to someone. Many atheists look up to comedian George Carlin (1937-2008). I admit that Carlin was a profound philosopher. He said some amazing true things, even though he blasphemed God much of the time. I liked George and am sad that he very likely went to Hell (unless he repented of his unbelief on his death bed). I heard George once say: “He [God] loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He’s all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can’t handle money!” I thought that was funny. Carlin was mocking the greed of preachers today. I love people and am sad that George Carlin almost assuredly perished in his sins into Hell, without knowing Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

One of my heroes is Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001). I love that godly man for his tremendous influence upon my life! I choose to have preachers as my heroes. Another one of my heroes is Pastor Harry Ironside (1876-1951). We all need heroes! Americans have the wrong heroes today. Homosexual Elton John is a great singer and musician, but he is not nor ever will be one of my heroes. No sodomite will ever be my hero! Having said that, I love everybody with God's unconditional love, including Sir Elton John.

My heart grieves that he is not a Christian. Elton has been very public about his hatred of organized religion. I can't say I blame him there, I hate most organized religion myself. My father used to rightly say that religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. Religion tries to reach man through the filter of human understanding; Christianity is God trying to reach man through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. The inspired Holy Bible teaches that the righteous and the unrighteous will never get along in sweet harmony. Proverbs 29:27, “An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.” That is why Elton hates religion, because the righteous won't allow him to be comfortable in his sinful lifestyle (death style).

The Bible tells us the reason why billions of lost sinners won't come to Jesus Christ to be saved. John 3:20-21, “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” People who love sinning refuse to come to Christ to be saved. Misunderstanding about this passage of Scripture has caused many people to go astray, errantly thinking that to be saved a person must turn away from their love of sinning, and forsake sinful behavior. That is NOT what this verse teaches. Carefully notice John 3:21a, “But he that doeth truth cometh to the light...” Bible repentance is not forsaking your sinful ways, it is acknowledging THE TRUTH that you are a guilty sinner and Jesus is the only Savior.

2nd Timothy 2:25-26, “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” I love that! Repentance is simply the acknowledgment (the admission) that you are a needy sinner and that Jesus is the Savior. Repentance and faith happen at the SAME time. It is false theology to think that repentance and faith happen separately, even though they are two separate things. The man who believes has repented, and the man who repents has believed. Bible “repentance” as a noun (Greek: metanoia) is simply: “a change of mind.” The verb form of “repent” (Greek: metanoeo) means: “to think differently.”

To be saved, you simply need to look up to God in your soul in admission that you are a guilty sinner, and turn toward Christ to be saved by His mercy and grace—through faith in the precious blood that He shed on Calvary's cross—where He died, was buried and resurrected three days later. This is the 'GOSPEL,' that is, the 'GOOD NEWS' (1st Corinthians 15:1-6). Any sinner who BELIEVES this Good news is saved. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” BELIEVE IT, oh sinner, and you are saved!

The Bible teaches that the only way to enter into the Kingdom of God is to be BORN AGAIN.

How To Be Saved

The Bible declares, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Because of sin, none of us can pay the price to enter Heaven. Despite our “good” works, we are still sinners by birth, unable to merit the favor of God. Thus, we have come short of God’s righteous standards.

The Good News is that, through the finished crosswork of Jesus Christ on Calvary, we can be made “the righteousness of God in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:21). We can receive God’s righteousness as a free gift which blesses us with eternal salvation from our sins!

“What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:30, 31).

“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Romans 4:5).

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

“The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

“In whom [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7).

“In whom [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14).

Salvation = Faith + Nothing. It is free to you because Jesus Christ paid the price. Do you believe that? Have you fully trusted in that alone for salvation?

Jesus Christ (God manifested in human flesh), in His great love, grace, and mercy, paid the penalty for our sins. The Gospel of the Grace of God (Acts 20:24) which saves lost mankind is: “Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again the third day” (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). The Lord Jesus Christ shed His sinless blood to forgive us our sins, but the Bible declares that anyone who rejects the Gospel of Grace will have to pay for his or her sins in the lake of fire for all eternity.

When you trust exclusively in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, Jesus Christ’s righteousness will be applied to you. Jesus Christ is perfect, so His righteousness imputed to us is our only means of getting into Heaven.

Will you trust in Jesus Christ alone as your personal Savior?

Most Preachers Don't Pay Attention To The Details

Acts 15:1 and 24, “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. ...Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:”

One of the biggest problems, or sore evils, since the beginning of time is shallow preachers who don't pay attention to the details. I love our text passages from Acts chapter 15, verses 1 and 24. In this passage we first see that a group of false teachers had come down from Judea. The Bible says “down” because Judea is up in the mountains. These false teachers were no doubt sincere, Judaizers who were still stuck on the Old Testament law. They were caught between grace and works! This is a common evil that we still see today in religious circles everywhere, mainly in Bible colleges and churches.

God pays attention to details more than anyone. Matthew 10:29-30, “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” Wow! God even keeps track of the number of hairs on our head. That is an amazing truth! It means that God pays attention to every little detail of our life, body and very being (existence). God notices the little things that most of us overlook.

I am also sometimes guilty of not paying attention to little things. When I go to any grocery store, I started a habit many years ago of grabbing one or two loose carts in the store parking lot, and I wheel them back into the store. It is a small thing that I do, but I do it for Jesus, both to let my let shine (Matthew 5:16), and to help me stay out of the “self life” (Philippians 2:4-5). It is a good practice to get into the habit of doing little things like this for others, to learn the importance of little things. Pastor Jack Hyles used to wisely say: “The most important job is the one that doesn't get done!” I love that truth.

Sadly, most pastors today (or preachers) don't pay attention to the details, especially in doctrine. They pay attention to the details financially, to their utter shame, but they don't care about the importance of right doctrine! The false prophets in Acts 15:1 taught that you could not go to Heaven unless you keep the Mosaic law, which the Apostles said in verse 24 they never taught. The Apostle confirmed through their messengers that this was in fact, heresy being taught in Acts 15:1. It was another gospel!

I have made a lengthy list below of all the unbiblical embellishments I have heard, which are being added nowadays to corrupt the Gospel by foolish preachers:

1. walk an aisle
2. pray a prayer
3. join a church, denomination or convention
4. turn from your sins
5. repent of your sins
6. be willing to turn away from sin
7. feel sorrow for your sins
8. forsake a lifestyle of sinning
9. be baptized in water
10. speak in “tongues”
11. turn over a new leaf
12. ask Christ into your heart
13. invite Jesus into your life
14. surrender your entire personality to Christ
15. surrender all
16. live a holy life
17. live a changed life
18. give control of your life over to Christ
19. faithfully run the race
20. count the cost and pay the price
21. live a lifestyle of repentance from sins
22. turn away from the old life
23. follow Jesus no matter what the cost
24. make Jesus the “Lord” (Master) of your life
25. be sorrow for your sin
26. confess Christ publicly
27. keep the Sabbath Day
28. keep God's Ten Commandments
29. get rid of bad habits and vices
30. ask Jesus into your heart
31. have a religious experience
32. feel hatred for sin

NONE of these things are required to get to Heaven. Yet, I can hardly listen to a sermon, or visit a church website, or watch a YouTube video, or hear a Bible college chapel service, or read a religious tract, without seeing these unbiblical additions to God's simple plan of salvation, which is by faith alone in the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-6).

It saddens my heart to hear preachers obscuring, confusing and corrupting the Gospel with all sorts of embellishments. The Bible says in 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” The Devil doesn't want lost sinners to get saved. Satan wants people to burn in the Lake of Fire with him. So the Devil blinds men's minds! How does he do this? Satan hinders people from getting saved by obscuring and hiding the Gospel of free grace.

For example: Pastor Osteen gets the Gospel horribly WRONG. I was listening to him preach the other night (if you can call his motivational speeches preaching). At the end of his sermon, Joel gave a counterfeit plan of salvation that made me cringe. Pastor Osteen requires four things to be saved that are totally unbiblical:

Joel says you must “receive Jesus as Lord” to be saved.
Joel says you must “repent of your sins” to be saved.
Joel says you must “pray” to be saved.
Joel says you must “follow Christ” to be saved.

I heard Joel Osteen on TV the other day require those four unbiblical things to be saved. Joel didn't even mention Jesus' death, burial or resurrection in his suggested sinner's prayer. Dear reader, you don't need to do any of those things which Joe Osteen sinfully requires. The Bible Gospel of free grace taught in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 doesn't include those things!

You can simply BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved (Acts 16:30-31). You don't have to pray. Nor do you have to “ask” to be saved. God is already offering you eternal life as a gift, if you will simply BELIEVE. John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”

Dear friend, the tiny details truly do matter! May we all start paying careful attention to the details of that which matters most in our life. Most people pay careful attention to the charges on their credit card, while never giving a second thought to the doctrine being spoon-fed to them by the preachers they listen to. Think about the foolishness of that! Right doctrine matters. It truly bothers me that nearly everyone is okay with one or more of the embellishments that I listed earlier.

How about you my friend? What do you think a person needs to do to be saved, so you can go to Heaven? If the answer is to simply place one's childlike trust (confidence) as an admitted guilty sinner in the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified for our sins, buried and risen the third day, then you are correct and saved. But if you add anything else to your faith, then it immediately becomes works. Hebrews 11:6, “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.”

It is sad that I sometimes hear preachers (e.g. Peter S. Ruckman, William P. Grady and Robert Breaker) falsely teaching that people were saved by works in the Old Testament, under the Mosaic law. What saith the Scripture? Romans 4:4, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.” If at any time in history, salvation were ever by works, then God owed those people eternal life. As we just read, God does not owe anybody forgiveness of sins. No one under the Mosaic law could perfectly keep the law, which is why the blood of a sacrificed lamb needed sprinkled each year by the high priest, on the mercy seat in the presence of God. These were ceremonial rituals done as shadows of the real things to come in Heaven (Hebrews 10:1), by our eternal High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16).

Details are important friend. The Bible plainly proclaims God's easy, simple and free plan of salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ. It is not okay to embellish, add, change or subtract anything from the simplicity that is in Christ, which is THE GOSPEL. So when we hear naïve or corrupt preachers teaching things they ought not for filthy lucre's sake (Romans 16:17-18), we should SPEAK UP for God and leave that place.

I recently learned about a popular evangelistic play, which became a video, titled: “Heaven's Gates And Hell's Flames.” Tragically, the video is packed full of damnable heresy, numerous embellishments to the Gospel. I wrote this blog to refute the presentation. I am sick and tired of visiting indifferent Bible colleges and churches, who just merely go along with whatever is being preached, giving false teachers the benefit of the doubt that they are really saved and mean well, they just use different wording (semantics). Folks, that is NOT okay to do!!!

Telling someone to “turn away from your sins” to be saved is damnable false doctrine! A lot of preachers are using that unbiblical phrase today, but they don't explain to their audience what they mean by “turn from sin.” It is one of the Devil's favorite deceptions today, because it obscures the light of the truth of the Gospel. Does a person have to stop, try to stop or be willing to stop sinning to be saved? No, absolutely not! That may offend you, but it is 100% Biblical.

The honest truth is that NO ONE has ever stopped sinning! Even the best saints still struggle daily with sin (Romans 7:14-25). To tell someone that to be saved they should desire not to sin anymore is also a false plan of salvation, because all that God requires to receive His free gift of eternal life is that you admit you are a guilty sinner. You need to know what you're being saved from. You need to see your need for redemption, so you'll BELIEVE the Gospel to be saved (Galatians 3:24-26). We are a SINNER and Jesus is the only SAVIOR! It is that simple.

Did Dr. Curtis Hutson Preach A Different Gospel Than Dr. John R. Rice?

Regarding repentance and Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980), it is unfortunate that Dr. Rice used the phrase "turn from sin with all your heart," in his writings, because the Bible doesn't use those terms concerning salvation. In his book: "I Am A Fundamentalist Not A Nut," Dr. Rice defends Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort, the two biggest heretics of the 19th century, and fathers of all modern corrupt Bible versions. In fairness to Dr. Rice, he didn't have the incredible library of wealth on the internet as we do today. So to answer the question: Did Dr. Curtis Hutson Preach A Different Gospel Than Dr. John R. Rice? The answers is: Yes and No!

Humbly said, Dr. Rice was wrong about Westcott and Hort not being part of a Satanic conspiracy to corrupt the Holy Bible. They sure were, whether they realized it or not! Both men were unsaved Anglican ministers and supportive of Roman Catholicism. Both men denied numerous fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith; such as, Christ's virgin birth, a literal Heaven and Hell, denied Jesus' deity, denied the doctrine of atonement, and the inerrancy of the Scriptures. So Dr. Rice wasn't always correct! We must not cite him as an authority on repentance!

Although I disagree with Dr. Rice's use of the phrase "turn from sin," because the Bible never teaches that, I am convinced that Brother Rice was saved and correct on the Gospel itself, as evidenced by the following helpful quote:

"There are those hyper-dispensationalists who think that John the Baptist preached a different Gospel from Christ when he commanded repentance (Matt. 3:2). But it is the same repentance Jesus commanded in Matthew 4:17, in Luke 13:3 and 5, and the same repentance that Paul preached in Athens that God “now commandeth all men every where to repent” (Acts 17:30 31). Repentance is not a different plan of salvation from having faith: it is part of the same plan of salvation. Or rather repentance is simply another way of describing or looking at the plan of salvation. One who turns from sin to God has done so by trusting in Jesus Christ. A change of mind toward sin is necessarily involved in saving faith. ...Everyone who genuinely repented under the preaching of John the Baptist put his trust in the Saviour John the Baptist preached, and was regenerated. There is no such thing as being “a disciple of John the Baptist” in any honest sense without being a disciple of Jesus, that is, without trusting Christ for salvation." ~Evangelist John R. As Dr. Rice just plainly said: "One who turns from sin to God has done so by trusting in Jesus Christ." So Dr. Rice DIDN'T require people to turn from sin to be saved, he simply believed that when you BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST you have turned from sin. Dr. Rice makes is clear that "TRUSTING IN JESUS CHRIST" is all that is required to be saved. And of course, to trust Christ MUST includes the admission that one is a guilty sinner, because we need to know what we are being saved from (Romans 3:19-20; Galatians 3:24-26). Trusting Christ MUST also include acknowledgement of three facts of the Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4):

1. Christ DIED on the cross for our sins.
2. Christ was BURIED.
3. Christ bodily RESURRECTED from the dead three days later.

Nothing more is required or permitted by God. Anyone who requires a person to turn away from living a lifestyle of sin is WRONG. The very idea is silly, because NO ONE has ever turned away from sinning. Even the best saints still SIN (Romans 7:14-25). The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) today has 45,000 member churches. Every SBC church that I have attended teaches that you must give up your sinful ways to get to Heaven, which is a false gospel. They all preach the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, requiring that you surrender control of your life over to Christ, to follow and live for Him from now on. None of that is the Gospel. I love what Pastor Harry A Ironside said:

“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past …Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.” ~Pastor Harry A. Ironside, “What Is The Gospel?”

Missionary to India for over 30 years, Evangelist David C. Cloud, is a good man as far as good men go. But he is a bitter enemy against Pastor Jack Hyles, for which I do not respect him. David Cloud has horribly dubbed Dr. Hyles: "The King Of Shallow Soulwinning!" On the Day of Pentecost, the Bible says the Apostle Peter preached the Gospel and 3,000 people got saved. No one was interrogated. No one had to be watched to see if their life changed. No one was required to forsake their sinful lifestyle. They simply "gladly received his Word" (Acts 2:41). That is, they heard the Gospel and they BELIEVED it! (Galatians 3:2). Now, David Cloud can call that type of soulwinning "shallow," but it is the Bible way and the only way to be saved! I have read Mr. Cloud's plan of damnation, and it is not the free grace Gospel.

It was David Cloud who started saying garbage that Pastor Curtis Hutson and Dr. John R. Rice didn't agree on salvation. They both believed the same Gospel!!! They just presented it differently. The only difference is that Dr. Hutson refused to use the words: "turn from sin" as Dr. Rice did. But from the quote I just shared with you, Brother Rice made it very clear that he believed: "One who turns from sin to God has done so by trusting in Jesus Christ." That is the opposite of what we are hearing preached in 90% of Bible colleges and churches today! Look at this Satanic tommyrot preached at Bob Jones University nowadays by Dr. Steve Pettit.

It is my humble opinion that Dr. John R. Rice hindered many people from getting saved, by his use of the unbiblical phrase “turn from your sin.” Likewise, I believe that cartoon artist Jack Chick was saved, but he also sinfully embellished the simple Gospel, requiring people to “turn away from sin (repent)” in all 800,000,000 of his Chick Tracts on the back page, step number 2 in his perverse plan of damnation. I believe Jack was saved because I have read his website about Jesus' imputed righteousness, in which he never mentions the word repent even once. I think Jack Chick knew he was in error, and struggling with the issue, trying to remedy the matter by writing a correct Gospel elsewhere. Likely, in his thinking, he couldn't change his plan of salvation 800,000,000 tracts later without looking like a fool, and angering many churches. But friend, we are not supposed to present our OWN plan of salvation. We are commanded to share GOD'S plan of salvation, which doesn't include turning from your sinning. Romans 5:6b plainly says, “CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY”!!!

I think a lot of people did get saved from Chick Tracts, who had heard the Gospel preached elsewhere, but Jack's cartoon evangelism impressed upon them to receive Christ. However, I have personally received emails from people, who testified to me that they almost went to Hell because of Jack Chick. One man told me that for several years he wouldn't come to Christ, because he had read in a Chick Tract that God required him to forsake his sinful lifestyle to be saved, and he wasn't ready to do that. Jack Chick has much blood on his hands, for adding an unnecessary requirement to God's simple plan of salvation, which is by faith alone in the Good News (Gospel) of the Lord Jesus Christ (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

What Steve Pettit, David Cloud and Jack Chick preach is NOT the Gospel, not even close! I humbly think Pilgrim's Progress author, John Bunyan, said it best:

“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” —John Bunyan (1628-1688)

Neither repentance or getting saved (which are the same event) result in a changed life. Getting saved doesn't change a person one bit, except that now God's Holy Spirit lives inside of that new believer. Once saved, all things are become new (2nd Corinthians 5:17), because now our spiritual eyes are opened (1 Corinthians 2:14-16). A believer must desire the sincere milk of the Word of God to grow (1 Peter 2:2). The Word of God sanctifies us, because it is THE TRUTH (John 17:17). God wants every believer to make a second decision, to yield our self as a living sacrifice to serve Christ as our "Lord" (Romans 12:1-2). I think Pastor M.R. DeHaan (1891-1965) said it very well:

"There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can't be lost because it depends upon God's faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness." ~Pastor M.R. DeHaan, "Hebrews"; Zondervan Publishing House, 1959 (p. 117)

In summary, I do not think David Cloud is saved. He denies that faith alone can save a man. Mr. Cloud teaches that you must be willing to stop living in sin to be saved, which is the same as requiring someone to keep the Mosaic law, which cannot justify a man (Romans 3:29-20). Only faith justifies a man (Galatians 3:26). I think Dr. Curtis Hutson gets repentance and the Gospel 100% correct. I think Dr. John R. Rice got the Gospel correct, but poorly chose his wording, which unfortunately has caused much confusion in the churches who respect his theology. John R. Rice was wrong to tell people to turn from sin to be saved.

I would expose him as a heretic if it weren't for the fact that he explains exactly what he means, which I shared with you earlier: "One who turns from sin to God has done so by trusting in Jesus Christ." All that Dr. Rice believed a person needs to do to be saved is to TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST!!! I agree. That is Biblical (John 6:47).

The word “repent” as it relates to salvation always means “a change of mind.” This is the Greek noun form, metanoia. The Greek verb form (e.g., Mark 1:15) of the word is metanoeo, which means “to think differently.” The Bible doesn't tell us what to think differently about. God intentionally chose to use this open-ended, all-inclusive word. In other words, you must repent of whatever it is that is hindering you from doing the ONLY thing you can do to be saved, put your FAITH in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

Not one verse in the Bible teaches to “turn from sin” to be saved! Proponents of the “turn from your sins” heresy always run to every verse in the Bible which says to “repent,” taking the verses out of proper context, ASS-U-ming that the word “repent” means to “turn from sin.” Dear friend, since the ONLY thing that can keep a person out of Heaven is UNBELIEF, then the only sin that you need to literally repent of is UNBELIEF.

The man, woman or child who BELIEVES on Jesus Christ, no matter how ungodly or unwilling to depart from their sins they may be, will be instantly forgiven and pardoned upon the basis of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Repentance is solely a matter of acknowledging THE TRUTH that you are a guilty sinner (John 3:21; 2nd Timothy 2:25), and turning TOWARD GOD (Acts 20:21) to be saved by faith alone in His only begotten Son (John 3:16). Whatever changes God wants to see happen in that person's life, you can be assured that God is not an absent parent, and He will attend to that matter (Hebrews 12:6-8).

The Gospel of John is God's Gospel tract according to John 20:31, "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." In John we find the word "believe" mentioned 88 times, but there is NO MENTION of the words: "surrender" or "repent" or "follow" or "confess" or "run the race" or anything else to get to Heaven. Jesus said in John 6:28-29 that the only "work of God" to be saved is to "BELIEVE ON HIM."

Salvation is not a reward for the righteous; it is a gift for the guilty!

Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith.

Turning away from sinful ways would be a work. Faith puts all of the merit where it belongs, on the object of our faith, Jesus and His work.

If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting from?

The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.

Who Exactly Was Caspar Milquetoast?

Matthew 15:7-9, “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Brother Lester Roloff (1914-1982) often said, “The world is sick and tired of a bunch of Casper Milquetoasts climbing around in the pulpits today.” What or who is Casper Milquetoast? The term originated from a comic strip character in the 1920's named Casper Milquetoast. The term has come to define someone unassertive and timid. Brother, this describes most Baptist pastors today. Today's pastors are pansies! Is your pastor a Casper Milquetoast character?

Today we'd call such shallow pastors “Yellowbelly” from the Canadian comedy show Second City TV. A pastor who won't preach on Hell, fire and damnation from the pulpit is a yellowbellied coward. We need some preachers once again with backbone, not a wishbone! God has been faithful. I wish I could influence some men of God to get worked up! I'm trying and praying brother. The Lord is still able. God deserves our best as Christians! I'm tired of pastors who dress in fancy new clothes and have that gleam in their eye, but they avoid preaching on anything offensive and the alters are always empty at invitation time. Of course the alters are empty, there is no preaching that produces repentance! The baptistry gets used once every 6 months. Soul-winning is not taught. There is no organized time for the church to go witnessing in public. There is no bus ministry.

Brother Roloff says, “There's only one way to speak with authority and that's to saturate your soul and your mind with the Word of God.” The reason why pastors today are dead is because they are listening to dead ministers instead of the authoritative Word of God. I'm not trying to pick on Bob Jones University, but their primary focus today is to educate students in the “Liberal Arts.” That's like a Christian automotive-repair school. We need Bible Colleges to train Christian workers. I'm sick and tired of these wet noodles, spineless preachers, who come in from the Jell-O seminary with their tapioca message of the power of positive thinking.


We Need Above Average Preachers Who Actually Preach

The great need of the hour is PREACHING PREACHERS!!! A pastor cannot kowtow to his congregation and be the man of God that he ought to be. You've got to say it like it is, even at the risk of losing members. A preacher is supposed to say what God lays upon his heart. As Brother Roloff says, “My preaching is none of my business!” See, “TEACHING ON PREACHING!”

People are becoming desperate for help. My heart breaks often, wishing that I could personally help many of my web visitors who are struggling. I have heard so many heart-wrenching stories over the years, from dear people who are hurting. My friend, God needs you. There is a place in God's choir that only you can fill. If you are absent, no one else can replace your unique personality. God Needs Your Personality (by Dr. Jack Hyles). I need you. Without you my ministry has no purpose. I am hear to help you know the Lord Jesus Christ, and then to grow in grace and faith as a born-again Christian. “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2nd Corinthians 5:7).

By God's grace I'm doing my part to reach others. If every Christian believer did their part, we could reach America for Jesus Christ. The biggest mistake that any Christian could ever make is to think that the efforts of one person couldn't make a significant difference in the world. One Christian plus God equals a majority! God doesn't make mistakes. Two men cannot naturally produce a child via carnal knowledge, nor can two women. The sinful world continually misinterprets God's Word, changing it into a lie as Romans 1:25 said they would, in an attempt to justify their wickedness.

America has gone to hell. Patriots are now now strongly labeled as “terrorists” in hundreds of Hollywood movies; such as, “DeJavu” with actor Denzel Washington. Few people realize that the fascist CIA (who started Homeland Security after 911) have a liaison working in Hollywood to incorporate brainwashing propaganda into movies. Literally, Americans are being turned against themselves and will be destroyed by their own stupid ignorance. The real terrorists are the criminals who've hi-jacked The White House since President John F. Kennedy's assassination and are now controlling the entire federal government. Congress has soul their souls to the Devil. Apart from divine intervention, our nation is effectively already doomed. America never was a truly free nation, evidenced by the Masonic control of the United States since its inception in 1776. Every Believer Needs To Listen To Bible Preaching

Titus 1:3, “But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour.”

Pastor Jack Hyles used to teach in his preaching that every believer ought to keep a life's recipe book, jotting down at the end of a good day what made it good, and likewise, jotting down at the end of a bad day what made it bad. Then, anytime you want to have a good day, look at your recipe cards of what compromised previous good days, and do those things to have another good day. Amen!

May I say, one of the ways that I almost always have a good day is by listening to preaching. I love preaching! Our fleshly carnal nature doesn't like preaching; but as Christians, the Spirit of God Who lives inside of us (Romans 8:9) compels us to obey the Word of God and hear preaching.

Television has become so evil. The Christian life is a constant battle between the Holy Spirit and the carnal flesh (Paul explains this truth in Romans chapter 7:14-25). Either TV will DESENSITIZE you to sin, or else the Holy Bible will SENSITIZE you to the awfulness of sin (Romans 7:13). I didn't make my ministry websites since 2002 by watching TV. I didn't learn to play musical instruments by watching TV. Truly, television is the biggest waste of time in the world, which is why I stopped watching it years ago. Turn off the box and put on some preaching and you'll be blessed.

One of the most prized possessions in my life is a collection of 2,065 MP3 sermons and Bible studies by Pastor Jack Hyles. These sermons and Bible studies are worth more to me than all the gold and wealth in the world. Although Brother Hyles graduated from this earthly life into Heaven's glory on February 6, 2001, his voice is still alive!!! Hallelujah! Every believer needs plenty of preaching!!!

You'll never grow in the Lord the way God wants you to if you rely upon the Sunday pulpit to keep you spiritual. One of the great woes in churches today is that believers look to the pulpit to keep them spiritual. That's ok if you are blessed to have a man of God for a pastor and preacher who feeds the flock. Unfortunately, most churches these days are DEAD, lacking a genuine man of God who is zealous over THE TRUTH. The average church today is like a brown grass lawn. The grass isn't dead yet, but it hasn't been nourished and; therefore, has become unhealthy. The truth ought to burn within every preacher's breast like a fire, compelling him to PREACH THE WORD. Jeremiah said that God's Word did BURN in his heart LIKE A FIRE:

Jeremiah 20:9, “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.”

The word “minister” means “a servant.” Most ministers today serve themselves more than anybody else. You cannot truly serve people unless you PREACH THE WORD, edifying (building up) their souls in the faith. The average church is more interested in methods than truth. Preaching the gospel (soul-winning) is a command, not a method. The Great Commission is not The Great Omission; yet few churches obey our Lord's command in Matthew 28:19-20 to make disciples of all men, and then disciple them to follow the Lord in obedient faith:

Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

The purpose of the Church is not to EDUCATE people; but rather, to DISCIPLE them. How can you truly disciple people if you are lackadaisical concerning THE TRUTH. The Church is not a social club, state-licensed 501c3 business or music concert; but rather, the Church is the vehicle by which God chose to carry out The Great Commission.

I cannot stress enough the importance of continually bathing one's life with the truth of God's Word and prayer. Truth and prayer change things! Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Moody, Moody Bible Institute (in Chicago), recently lifted a century-old ban against drinking the Devil's booze, casino gambling and smoking/chewing tobacco. Can you imagine? What kind of decent Christian parents would enroll their child into a Bible college that permits faculty and staff to drink Liquid Devil (The Devil's Cut bourbon), and to suck on cancer sticks to defile the temple of the Holy Spirit (1st Corinthians 3:16-17), and to shoot craps while gambling in Las Vegas in SIN CITY? SHAME!!! D.L. Moody is throwing a Conniption-fit (or a Hissy-fit) up in Heaven!

I can see the prophets Elijah and John the Baptist, as they are passing by, notice Mr. Moody sitting with downcast eyes staring at the ground. “Hey D.L., what's wrong friend?” Mr. Moody with a somber and downcast countenance says, “You absolutely won't believe it.” Again they ask him again in sincere concern, “What's making you so sad Dwight?” With tears streaming down his face and quivering lips, Mr. Moody humbly says, “The faculty and staff of the Moody Bible Institute which I founded in 1886 have forsaken morality, teaching today's youth that it's ok to drink intoxicating booze, gamble for illicit gain (filthy lucre) and destroy their health with cigarette smoking.” How sad and tragic!

King James Bible Preaching And Personal Holiness Are Synonymous

In view if the fact that Moody Bible Institute uses the Devil's corrupt modern Bible revisions, it is not surprising that they have apostate preaching too. Moody sinfully invites and honors devil-dog preacher Pastor John MacArthur, bidding him Godspeed (2nd John 1:11). Moody's moral standards are now following their doctrinal apostasy. Lifestyle follows doctrine. A Bible college's morals don't change first and then their doctrines. It's the other way around. One of my all-time favorite sermons is by Pastor Bob Gray Sr., titled: 'Truth Versus Change':

“Somebody said about a preacher, 'He changed his position.' Listen carefully, nobody ever changes his position. CHANGE IS A POSITION!!! ... When you change, you never have a set position anymore. Truth is set. Truth is stable. Change is not. When you leave the truth, you don't stop anywhere, you keep on changing! And that's why it's called 'backsliding'!” —Dr. Bob Gray Sr., a quote from the sermon, Truth Vs. Change.

A Bible college's doctrines first change. They start using corrupt versions of the Bible, so the Bible is no longer near and dear, since it keeps changing every few years and no one memorizes any of them for that very reason!!! I wouldn't give you a dime for any so-called preacher who doesn't use only the inspired KING JAMES BIBLE. Phooey on all the modern corrupted Bible versions, like the New International Version (NIV) whose chairman of the Old Testament committee was a flaming open homosexual.

As a hypocritical gesture of Moody's further evangelical downslide into sinful compromise to fit in with the New World Order, Moody Ministries advertises HOLINESS to their prospective new students. How can Moody's administrators, their board of directors, advertise holiness in view of allowing faculty and staff to drink, smoke and gamble. Notice that Moody's students are still prohibited from drinking alcohol, smoking cancer sticks and indulging in tasteless, unethical, shady, practices, like cards and gambling.

What hypocrites to set DOUBLE-STANDARDS for teachers and students. Hey, if smoking is wrong for teenagers than it is wrong for adults. If alcohol consumption is bad for our youth, than it is also bad for the adults. If gambling is wrong, it is wrong. Why the double standards? If history has taught us anything, it is that youth will follow what the adults DO, not what they SAY. Either lead by example or else you cannot lead.

Will your student's favorite Bible teacher at Moody give himself lung cancer from smoking cigarettes? I'd hate to receive a phone call saying that my child's Old Testament teacher is out of town in SIN CITY Las Vegas, living it up while gambling for a couple weeks. It's unthinkable. Boozing, tobacco smoking, gambling with devils—PRAYER MEETING ANYONE? There's no denying that the inferior moral standards now adopted by Moody Bible Institute will affect everything else downstream. It always does! Major decisions like this always have major consequences later. In the short term the ministry handsomely benefits financially; but in the long term they undermine their character, alienate their institution from Christ and seal their doom in ecumenical apostasy.

I guarantee you that Moody Bible Institute (MBI) will become a heathen university just like Chicago University, which was originally founded by a faithful Baptist preacher over 100 years ago. It was no coincidence that the University of Chicago (UOC) 100 years later, was chosen as the place to announce that same-sex marriages are now legal in Illinois. It is wickedness!!! UOC went from Sanctification to Sodomy in just one century! They've turned from the Savior to Satan, in just one little ole century! How tragic that Moody Bible Institute is following the world afar off as did Peter, ashamed of his Lord. Oh, how Moody's board of directors need to repent. REPENT! Ichabod is written across Moody ministries. The famous Gospel preacher John Wesley was so right: “What one generation tolerates, the next generation will embrace.”

The Bible tells us that Daniel had an excellent spirit in him. Do you have an excellent spirit (attitude)? Generosity, forgiveness and love are excellent attitudes. The excellent spirit in a yielded believer is the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT of Jesus Christ. Daniel 6:3, “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.” If Moody's board of directors had an excellent spirit, they never would have permitted the devils of booze, smoking and gambling into their ministry. Moody (as did Achan) has brought the unclean thing, the accursed thing, into the camp of our holy God.

The great need of the hour is preaching preachers! I get nauseated listen to Chip Ingram, Robert Schuller and Mike Kellogg put the audience to sleep on the radio. Brother, we need some preaching preachers, men of God, like Evangelist John R. Rice, Pastor Jack Hyles, Brother Lester Roloff and R.G. Lee (PAYDAY SOMEDAY!). We need leather-lunged men like Evangelist Billy Sunday, who preached without apology, uncompromisingly against the filthy liquor cartel, criminal bootleggers, immoral dirty-dancers and the greedy gamblers.

I love the awesome truth in Hosea 2:15, “And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.” My friend, sin is ALWAYS a gamble, because it's a game of Russian Roulette. Someone's always got to get the bullet.

Preaching is truth set on fire. Preaching is the fire in the pulpit melting the ice in the pew. Oh, how America needs men of God who PREACH THE WORD! I'm tired of psychology creeping into America's pulpits instead of sound Bible doctrine. What's wrong with teaching the virgin birth of Christ, and His deity, and Jesus' literal blood sacrifice (which permanently did more than atone for man's sins, it forever took all our sins away)!!! Amen, glory to God, hallelujah!

We can all obtain wisdom and truth by SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES (John 5:39), and by listening to all the blessed Bible-preaching from men of God, who walked with God, and left us a goldmine of Biblical insights and truths through the testimony of the hardships, testings and persecutions of their life. These preachers have stood the test of time, proved the inspiration and power of the King James Bible, and we would be foolish and worse off for not honoring their lives by at least listening to what they had to say while they were still alive here on earth. I plan to listen to more preaching, Lord willing, over the next year than all the years before. I need preaching, and so do you!!! Amen!
