Beware Of A Perverted Gospel

Galatians 1:7b, “but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”

It is tragic that a counterfeit gospel is being preached from nearly every pulpit today. The same can be said of nearly every religious film, Christian book and contemporary Christian music (CCM) group. Heresy is everywhere!

Part of man's sinful human nature is to add works to faith.

The Devil is a beautiful liar. The serpent's lies were so attractive, alluring and believable that Eve ate the forbidden fruit and paid for it dearly for the rest of her life. All of Satan's apples have worms! You'd think that if anyone would tell the truth today it would be church pastors, but sadly they are the biggest liars!

It is tragic that 97% of pastors have succumbed to the “repent of your sins” Lordship Salvation garbage, which the Southern Baptist Convention (SBA) as a whole have succumbed to. The same is sadly true of the toxic 'UNSHACKLED!' radio broadcast by Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago. The same is sadly true of Bob Jones University (BJU) and Pensacola Christian College (PCC) and their toxic Lordship Salvation counterfeit plan of salvation. The entire religious world is following after Satan's false gospel.

There is only one plan of salvation, which is faith in the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Anyone who adds repenting of your sins, turning from your sinful bad habits, being willing to turn from sin, surrendering “all” to Christ, becoming a Christ follower, living a lifestyle of repentance, inviting Christ into your life, being sorry for your sins, or receiving Jesus as “Lord” of your life, is a bold-faced liar.

This is one of my very favorite books. Michael P. Bowen grew up in private religious schools, seeing much spiritual abuse in his youth. Consequently, he became an atheist as a young man, but then gradually out of a hungry soul to find meaning in his empty life took an interest in Christianity. Unfortunately, Michael was being misled by dozens of famous big name preachers (e.g., Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Ray Comfort, John Hagee, Beth Moore and others. Michael had churchianity without Christianity! Finally, he was blessed by God to hear a humble man of God named Hank Lindstrom (1940-2008), who preached a simple Gospel sermon called: "How Permanent Is Your Salvation," which opened Michael's eyes to the true Gospel and he got saved. Led by the encouragement of his godly mother, Michael wrote a wonderful helpful book titled: "I NEVER KNEW YOU," in defense of the only true free grace Gospel.
