Satan's Modern Bible Revisions Corrupt The Gospel

2nd Corinthians 2:17, “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.”

I cannot warn you enough dear reader to avoid and throw away your modern Bible revisions if you have any. They are deadly! The Devil is not fighting religion. He is too smart for that. He has produced a counterfeit Christianity, so much like the real one, that true Christians are afraid to speak out against it. False prophets will come at you with a word salad.

Romans 10:9

Here is a prime example of how the Devil has perverted God's simple plan of salvation in the new Bible revisions. Whereas the inspired King James Bible simply teaches to put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to get to Heaven, the Devil has changed it so that now you must take Jesus as the “Lord” of your life, which clearly implies serving Him. Here is a comparison between the trustworthy King James Bible and the Southern Baptist Convention's (SBC) corrupt Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)...

KJB - Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

HCSB -Romans 10:9, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

There is a vast difference between trusting the Lord Jesus Christ versus confessing “Jesus is Lord” to be saved. This manmade perversion is in all the new Bibles. The most popular Bible version in 2026 is the New International Version (NIV), followed closely by the English Standard Version (ESV) and then the King James Version (KJV). ...

ESV - Romans 10:9, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
NIV - Romans 10:9, “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Do you see how wicked neo-evangelicals wrest the inspired Word of God to their own destruction?

Mark 1:15

Here's another example of how Satan's crowd has corrupted the Holy Bible to fit their ungodly agendas. This time from Mark 1:15. Here's a comparison between the King James Bible (KJB), Easy-To-Read Version (ERV), The Voice (VOICE) and the Tree Of Life Version (TLV)...

KJB - Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

The Greek word from which “repent” in this Scripture passage is translated is metanoeo, which simply means “to think differently.” It does NOT mean to turn from your sins, change your life or change your actions. Wicked men added these extra words to the Holy Bible. What saith the Scripture? Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” Satan has entered into the Bible publishing business! ...

ERV - Mark 1:15, “He said, 'The right time is now here. God’s kingdom is very near. Change your hearts and lives, and believe the Good News!'”

VOICE - Mark 1:15, “Jesus: It’s time! The kingdom of God is near! Seek forgiveness, change your actions, and believe this good news!”

TLV - “'Now is the fullness of time,' He said, 'and the kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins, and believe in the Good News!'”

Again, do you see how Satan's crowd cleverly perverts the truth of God's Word? True Bible repentance is simply to think differently (change your mind) to believe the “GOOD NEWS” (GOSPEL) of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen three days later. You get saved by turning from unbelief to belief, not by changing your behavioral actions. Behavior modification has absolutely NOTHING to do with going to Heaven.

When Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, he repented to turn from his sins (Matthew 27:3). Judas changed his actions, returning the thirty pieces of silver (which was the typical cost to buy a slave). Judas confessed to the wicked Pharisees that he had betrayed innocent blood (Matthew 27:4). But they refused his silver, calling it blood money! Judas was a changed man. He regretted his actions. Judas felt sorry. Yet, Judas commit suicide and went to Hell forever in his unbelief. You see, Judas repented to turn from his sins, but he never repented from his unbelief toward God to embrace the truth of the Gospel (Acts 20:21; 2nd Timothy 2:25-26).

I could spend a whole day showing you the corruptions in today's modern Bible revisions. It couldn't be more obvious why the Devil is doing this, to hinder lost sinners from seeing the light of the truth of the Gospel, lest they be converted. 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” Unless the free grace Gospel is presented clearly and without embellishment, no one can be saved.

I cannot warn you enough about the Devil's modern English translations of the Bible. They are all corrupt and misleading, dangerous to the reader.

This is one of my very favorite books. Michael P. Bowen grew up in private religious schools, seeing much spiritual abuse in his youth. Consequently, he became an atheist as a young man, but then gradually out of a hungry soul to find meaning in his empty life took an interest in Christianity. Unfortunately, Michael was being misled by dozens of famous big name preachers (e.g., Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Ray Comfort, John Hagee, Beth Moore and others. Michael had churchianity without Christianity! Finally, he was blessed by God to hear a humble man of God named Hank Lindstrom (1940-2008), who preached a simple Gospel sermon called: "How Permanent Is Your Salvation," which opened Michael's eyes to the true Gospel and he got saved. Led by the encouragement of his godly mother, Michael wrote a wonderful helpful book titled: "I NEVER KNEW YOU," in defense of the only true free grace Gospel.
