The Blood Of The Lamb Cleanses All Sin

1st Peter 1:18-19, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

There is no sin or evil (planned sin) so great that God won't forgive you dear reader. If you can imagine it, God can forgive it! Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. God invites all humanity to reason with Him. That is, the LORD is a reasonable God. He knows that we are mere flesh made from the dust of their earth. Psalms 103:14, “For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.”

God desires to forgive all men. 2nd Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. God desires for every sinner to repent (change their mind) from unbelief to trust Christ to be saved. The blood of Jesus is the only thing that can cleanse our sins away. Revelation 1:5, And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.

From Genesis to Revelation, the theme of the inspired Word of God is the precious blood of Jesus that cleanses all our sins away. From the blood of the innocent animal that God killed to provide skins of clothing to cover the sinful shame of Adam and Eve, to the saints whose robes are washed by the blood of the Lamb in the book of Revelation, we see that the blood of Jesus is the only sure remedy for sin. 1st John 1:7, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

A counterfeit gospel is being preached from nearly every pulpit today which requires something from YOU, instead of focusing on what CHRIST has already done through Calvary's cross to pay our dent of sin. The true gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU. If salvation is truly by grace, then you don't need to start or stop anything to be saved. Eternal life is a free gift from God (Romans 6:23).

Please don't believe any lying pastor who says you must “repent of your sins to get to Heaven, because you won't find any such teaching in the inspired King James Bible. Jesus shed His blood on Calvary's cross 2,000 years ago to pay for our sins, and then ascended into Heaven and sprinkled that shed blood upon the Mercy Seat in the presence of the Father on our behalf (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24).

In the Old Testament, the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in Exodus 12:7 and 13, And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. ...And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.It wasn't enough for the Jews to kill the Passover lamb, the lamb's blood had to be applied to the house's doorposts and lintel (the plate above the door). The blood had to be applied!

Pastor John MacArthur (1939-2025) wickedly taught that Jesus' blood soaked into the ground at the cross and never made it to Heaven. Mr. MacArthur is a dirty liar! According to the Word of God, the blood had to be applied to the heavenly Mercy Seat. Hebrews 9:12, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

In The MacArthur Study Bible, the foolish incompetent pastor Dr. MacArthur errantly teaches that the word “blood” should be translated “death.” Dear reader, if God meant death then He would have said death, but He said blood.” God said what He meant, and He meant what He said! Jesus applied His literal, liquid, blood to the Mercy Seat in Heaven.

When you hear umpteen preachers foolishly saying that “It was finished on the cross, those preachers don't know their Holy Bible very well.

John 19:28-30, “After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” It couldn't be more plain to see from this passage of Scripture that when Jesus said, “It is finished,” He was referring to all of the Messianic Bible prophecy concerning Himself, and not to His work of redemption.

Christ had not yet even died, let alone be buried and resurrected, which three elements comprise “the gospel by which we are saved if we believe it (Romans 1:16). So, redemption simply could not yet have been finished. So many pastors get this wrong! Christ's work of redemption was finally finished when He sprinkled His blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat in the presence of God the Father.
Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Refrain:
O precious is the flow
that makes me white as snow;
no other fount I know;
nothing but the blood of Jesus.
